Event & Party Guidelines

Herring Cove Community Centre is available for parties including children's parties with supervised, age appropriate activities such as games, crafts, gift opening, music, refreshments.

 

The space is not suitable for gym style activities, including running games, rough play, inflatable or sports equipment (Balls or similar equipment that could cause damage to the room, sound panels or AV equipment).

 

Outside Entertainers and Special Effects

 

Renters may hire outside entertainers, musicians, DJ’s, performers, or other service providers, provided their activities are appropriate for the facility and comply with all Community Centres rules and regulations. 

 

The renter is responsible for ensuring that all outside entertainers and service providers are aware of and follow the centre rules.

 

The following are not permitted:

• Candles, open flames, or live fire displays (fireworks)

• Smoke, fog, bubbles, or bubble machines

• Confetti, glitter, or similar materials

• Any equipment that may damage floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, or other centre property

 

Battery operated or flameless candles ARE permitted.

The Centre reserves the right to prohibit or stop any entertainment that is considered unsafe, inappropriate, or in violation of the centre rules or fire safety requirements

 

These guidelines fall under Terms and Conditions of the Refundable Deposit.
